Another wild party spot in downtown Ft Lauderdale with an American bar feel to it, decorated all in wood and with a feel of an Western bar it will make you feel comfortable to enjoy the night with your friends. They start their night with live music and as the night progress they have a DJ to play the today's and yesterday's tunes and the crowd will get wild on the dance floor. They have basic drinks and their service bar can be quick, so you won't be stuck waiting forever to drink something. Because they really get busy, It's nothing extraordinary but certainly a solid spot to have a great night fun night with your friends.

If you want to listen to bands rather than dance this place is right for you. The cover band I heard was okay. I had a weird experience since I came from a club that was blasting dancing music. This club was a totally different vibe I was not feeling. For me it was a bit more boring. Our group left this place really fast. ( I think they were as bored as I was) Maybe I would enjoy this place on a nonclubbing night.

As I mentioned in my review of America's Backyard, I don't really like any of the bars/clubs in downtown Fort Lauderdale, however, I love to go out, so I don't really have any choice. That being said, Dicey's is probably my favorite bar/club downtown. There is no cover charge and I love that no matter what time you go, you will always find people dancing. I also love the music they play- a mix that is heavy on 80s and 90s, light on top 40, with some sprinklings of Motown and Spanish music. This is the kind of place where you are able to belt along to any song, and everyone else is singing along with you! My only music related complaint is that they use the same playlist almost every single night (I go pretty often). They play the same songs in the same order night after night. It's so bad that I am now able to predict which song will play next. The DJ should definitely work on mixing it up! As for drink prices, I couldn't really tell you... the bar is always soooo crowded that I have never even attempted to make my way over there.

Of the clubs/bars I've been to in the area, this is mine and my girlfriends favorite. The name doesn't really fit the style of bar that it is but I don't really care. They play the same music over and over every weekend, but hey, it's good music for the most part. I actually don't drink so I've never even given them a dime. Great times for free for me at Dicey's.

Nothing special here. Just the same as the other spots on Himarshee.

Dicey's never disappoints on a night of bar hopping! The vibe is really chill and always a good time. They play all kinds of music, which is the best part about this place. They play todays hits, hip hop, some early 2000s music (that's the jam) and some oldies. This is the spot you come to when you want to sing to the top of your lungs (sorry..) and dance around without being judged. Dicey's is alwaaaays packed but it adds to the experience. Everyone is packed in there like a can of sardines. But, overall, this is one of my favorite places in Ft. Laudy. Drinks are also reasonably priced!

Downtown Las Olas was a great place for a bachelorette party weekend! Dicey Riley's was our last bar stop and it was a great place to dance! @vinnyvenditto was a great DJ and was nice enough to walk around and congratulate my friend that was getting married and get her a drink! We had a great time and even came back the next night. No cover charge and open until 4am! Recommend for a great night out!

Terrible experience. Was on a saturday night and the bartender charges me $10 for Jack While other bartenders charge me $8. I asked her about this and she says everyone else is new. Too bad. Pls be careful while you're at this place.

I'm surprised I've never reviewed this place before! I've been here bar hopping a few times and it's always a good time. Dicey's is an "Irish Pub" but the music on a weekend is a total mix. Last time we went there was a mix of 80's, top 40, a lot of stuff from high school (2000 era) and 90's stuff. Basically anything dance worthy. The DJ was good and put an EDM mix/trance beat behind it as well and did a good job of it as well. There is a small stage on top for girls to dance on in case they are being annoyed by guys (or just want to grind on their girlfriends without guys bugging them) which is great. There isn't a TON of dancing space when the place is packed as this isn't the biggest place in the world anyway. There are 2 main bars, one inside and on half in and half out. One side of the "outer bar" actually faces outward into the street, so you can sit on barstools outside if it's crammed/hot/people are dancing inside, which is a nice little design twist. It also lightens up some of the bar traffic on the other side. All of the downtown bars actually let you take your drinks with you out of the clubs around here which is cool when you're bar hopping so you don't have to chug something you just bought or chuck it at the door. This is also a nice lower key place to come on weekends or weeknights to watch sports games, it was PACKED when the Heat were in the finals the last 2 years and of course all of Downtown is a zoo on St. Patrick's Day (especially here since it's an Irish place). The awkward statues by the front door can be a bit disorienting at first, and it's fun to watch people talk to them when they've had one too many at the end of the night :)

If you want to squeeze through a big crowd, or hang at the outdoor bar area and drink many a beer from plastic cups or enjoy a watered down but tasty shot served by a scantily-clad shot-girl - then by all means, stop by. Oh- and if you are into joining a decent cover band scream the lyrics to a classic Bon Jovi cover tune - by all means. Give love a bad name. Oh-, did I mention my "shot girl" put her shot glass (test tube) in her mouth and asked that I drink it that way. That was fun. as always, kids - drink responsibly...

I came here with a bunch of Yelpers on a Thursday night & we had a ton of fun!!! The bartenders were nice & quick. The drinks are reasonably priced. They were playing great tunes for us to dance the night away to. There was a pretty big mix of people, mostly a younger crowd. The people in the bar were cool too. At one point I threw my arm around someone and was talking to them at the bar because I thought it was a friend when they came up next to me....only to look at them and realize it wasn't my friend. It was cool, he didn't seem to mind. Yay, fast service, decent tunes and nice peeps. I am a fan!

I sort of thought Dicey Riley's was going to be an Irish bar but other than serving Guinness it's just another loud scream and shout, somewhat gimmicky dive bar located on a street full of what is pretty much all the same. Nothing seems to get going here until late and then generally only late on Friday and weekend nights. They have bands, typically worn out rock types of questionable talent other than the ability to play loud, sometimes shot girls and rather pretentious try to be cool bartenders, but when they don't have bands there are usually DJ's spinning whatever pleases. The patrons are mostly late mid twenty to late thirty somethings, a number of good lookers, some obviously with high hopes of being molested....not to the exclusion of me, mostly downtown city workers along with some straggling tourists, too old to be in the raver set but in spite of that fact bent upon and in fact all seemingly having a good time of it. What is interesting about this section of street area, commonly known as the Himmarshee District, is that this cluster of small privately run businesses have somehow managed not only to sustain their popular late night and weekend appeal but in fact have managed to drive those developer enticed businesses of the nearby 80 million dollar Riverwalk Development into bankruptcy. For what Dicet Riley's is, a rather rowdy dive bar, OK, but nothing more than that.

This place is classic. Come here for your 3rd drink. It's crowded but the music and people are fun to dance with! Tip your bartender!

Super impressed by this place. Was up in Fort Lauderdale from Miami to celebrate a friend's birthday on Saturday night and ended up here after going to some lame bars that were playing boring electronic lounge music. I must say I'm a fan of the DJ on June 28th. He even played Spice Girls and *Nsync, which totally made me and any other female that grew up in the 90's turn up. I don't know what his name was, just that he was cute. I thought the bartenders were great. The ladies were friendly and prompt. I didn't wait any crazy amount of time for a drink. Actually, I was pretty impressed there was space to sit along the bar. We will totally be back.

I really hate to do this because I've always liked coming to this bar. The music is always on point and the dance floor usually has some great characters. However, the past year, the bar service has been awful. This past weekend we noticed it was ladies night. The bartender charged us for a well drink. Then the other bartender charged my friend twice for a beer. When the 2nd bartender noticed her mistake, she informed my friend that the next beer was on the house. Ok no big deal. But when my friend went to get her free beer, the lady bartender snapped on my friend before realizing her mistake. The clincher comes when a 3rd bartender (trashy tan girl with bad extensions) told my guy friend to "not rush her because she only has 2 hands" after he had been waiting a solid 15 minutes for a drink. I don't get why the service here is so bad. Either they need to hire more staff that actually want to be there or they're going to lose business. I prefer to drink at Lucky's or Brineys where the staff is super friendly, attentive and personable. But at least the DJ at Diceys knows what's up

I've been going to dicey's every Saturday night for months with my friends and we usually have a great time. The reason for the two stars is for their TERRIBLE bartender Brittany. After work one Friday me and a few of my coworkers ended up at dicey's. We had a few drinks and one of my friends had a few to many. She went to ask for some water and Brittany refused to give her any! She said she had paying customers to tend to. The bar was no where near as busy as it usually is and we had been buying drinks all night, just not from her. We eventually spoke to the manager and he was every kind and gave my friend some water. The fact that Brittany would rather explain to us why she wouldn't give us water instead of just filling a cup is ridiculous, she was very rude and all my friends what where there who are regulars all decided that we shouldn't go there anymore. It's a shame that one rude bartender could ruin our experience but she did!

Fun place to go out with a few friends or a big group! Most weekend nights there is live music and they play great stuff. I have been going there for about 5 years. Drinks are cheap and people are friendly. This past weekend I had an issue there for the first time ever. This tourist, a-hole (sorry!!) was sitting in a chair and got up to go dance. Leaving the empty stool at the bar. Since no one was around it, and he was gone for 5 minutes I took the stool to sit down. He literally ripped it from my hands and started laughing. I gave it to him after a quick lecture on chivalry and when he got up again to use the bathroom same thing happened. This time the bar tender immediately told him to cool it, asked me if I wanted him removed and poured my boyfriend and I some shots on the house :). Like I said, the people here are friendly, even if some crabby men sometimes slide in. Fun place!!

This place gets a solid 4 stars from me. I've been here a few times in the past with friends when we were in the area, I was here in July with a bunch of other Yelpers after we'd attended another event across the street, and a few of us stopped here again in late December after watching the Winterfest Boat Parade at Riverwalk, which is only about a block away. This is also a great place to come after seeing performances at the nearby Broward Performing Arts Center to have a beverage while waiting for the traffic and parking lots to empty out. Every time I've come to Dicey Riley's I've had a good time. They've got lots of different beers on tap (including Guinness), they've got plenty of seating at the large rectangular bar in the middle of the place, at the drink rail on the far left wall, or at the smaller bar near the front entrance, and there's also seating available outside at a few tables on the sidewalk. They've usually got a live band or a DJ spinning nearly every night, and there are almost always people on the dance floor. Since the 2 main entrances to the place (one at the front and one in the front corner) and the entire front section of the bar are usually open to the outside, that means it doesn't get too stuffy in here, either. That's a definite bonus, as this place definitely gets packed, especially on the weekends. While they have lots of eclectic items and photos lining the walls and hanging or sitting in different places, one of my favorite features of this place, though I'm not really sure why it's here, is the giant fire engine they have hanging above the front bar, complete with working emergency lights. The past few times I've been here, they've also had some eclectic patrons as well. In July, about 4 or 5 teams of kick ball players showed up after their games to have some drinks, and when we were here in December, about 25 people dressed as Santa Claus or naughty Mrs. Santa showed up during some kind of holiday pub crawl. All of these kinds of things come together to make Dicey Riley's one of the most fun, and sometimes interesting places in this part of Ft. Lauderdale.

Fun environment, but beware of the shady bartenders. If you ask for a double they will literally charge you double the price, which is not standard for shitty places like this one. Watch your bill people! Americas backyard, but indoors is my best description if you go on a Friday night. (It gets extremely busy) and They play all types of music.

Dive bar, great to watch a band. Many cute girls on staff and many cute girls in the bar. I was a bit shocked. Beers are a tad above average in cost but a cool place none the less.

If you are ever in the downtown Ft Liquordale/Himarshee area, you have to make Dicey's one of your stops. This place is always hopping with young, sexy people and *gasp* they don't charge a cover for entering (you hear that Mr. "$20.00 to get in to a club on South Beach" ). The drinks are always flowing and the music they play is off the chain (shout out to the band on Saturday night playing all the classics rather than Top 40 which we Yelpers enjoyed. One thing to beware of...this place does get packed but that's what always makes it fun (unless you are claustrophobic, then it would not be) So run, don't walk to Dicey's :)

Haven't been in Ft. Lauderdale for a while but this seems to be one of the popular places. Good music, everyone dancing. At the bar, drinks came quick and they don't hold back on the alcohol. Bartenders are friendly and ready to serve. Laid back environment, you don't come here to impress, you come here to have a good time.

My Go to bar when down in riverfront. Nice crowd you fill find a lot of young professionals there not your typical bar in riverfront full of barely legal kids. On weekends they have a live band and a variety of music. Chill place to hang out even get a little dance in. The The downstairs bartenders are always quick and friendly and you even got an option to get a bite. Pretty decent burgers for a good price. Even when bar hoping i always tend to stick around this one for the majority of the night. I have met and networked with some great people in the past years .

    (4)
  • Lisa A.

Very fun on a weekend night. They always have had good bands rocking out the typical "bar music". This place usually attracts a friendly crowd who just wants to knock back a few, scream Journey at the top of their lungs and dance.

This one's for you, LPS!! I used to come here almost every Saturday after kickball.. it was our league bar. It was fun. Everyone was sweaty and gross and we all drank inexpensive beer and played flip cup. Good times, good times. The bartenders were cool and drinks were served fast. The DJ complied with our obnoxious song requests and the whole thing was plain grimy fun. This is how I like to think of Dicey's. My other option is to take off the rose colored classes and think of Dicey's in its true fashion. I am frequently molested at Dicey's lol. I'm sure it is the cheep beer that puts these boys in a drunken stupor, but for real boys, titty taps are not fair game. This bar is small and it gets busy and very crowded. But thats the way I like it. They have a live DJ and the music is all over the place; Country to eminem. There are people "dancing" but there is not a whole lot of room to do so. The beer selection is just ok, nothing compared to fat cats across the street. But its cheep. You can wear jeans here and flats, no need to get dressy. No cover. There is parking a plenty and you can either park in a lot, a garage or a meter if you can find one. Make Dicey's a stop on your 954 bar crawl.

  • Patrick L.

Intermediate stop on the 954 April Fools Crawl. Hey, I checked in here with the Duchess of this fine establishment, do I get any points or badges for that? ;) Man, this place is crowded. It has kind of an awkward setup that creates bottlenecks. There is one large bar, and it's in the middle, so that allows for two narrow walkways leading to/from the back of the bar and the restrooms. Although maybe this isn't a bad thing - while I was walking back to the group, after I broke the seal, this cute woman was dancing and brushing up against me as I inched my way through the crowd. This kind of thing NEVER happens to me in my home locale of Miami, where I am used to being blatantly ignored by attractive women in bars and clubs, so I just kinda gave her a sheepish smirk and kept going. Hey, I think I like this 954 business, but clearly I would have to adjust my worldview if I started hanging out in places like this. I really don't know what there is to drink here; even if I'd wanted a drink I probably wouldn't have been able to position myself close enough to the bar to flag down a bartender. The music played here generally consists of crap remixes of Y-100 pop crap. But wow, there are many women here, and they actually seem like they'd be friendly (who knew? Remember, I'm from Miami!), so I guess I don't really care about the music and booze, do I? Unpretentious place that isn't trying to be anything more than what it is - a meat market.

GREAT PLACE FOR A BEER AND TO KILLS SOME TIME. I came here in the late afternoon and there is really not too much to say about itl. It's great for friends to come after work and enjoy a few beer and watch the world go by. Thank you Sir may I have another?

  • Sarah G.

I really liked this bar. They had a huge center bar with lots of seats. The bartenders were attentive and the prices were fair for the las olas area. I ordered 2 magners and a guinness (it's an Irish pub) for $15 not terrible, they were large cups (16oz.). They played 80s music, which is always fun, and on the various tvs the had sports and the 80s music videos. Lots of fun. It got really crowded after 12:30 to the point were you could even move around. Can't blame them though because this bar was awesome. Definitely going to make this place a regular on my bar hop list.

Fun place, but the DJ April 30 needs to go. His homophobic comments on the microphone was disturbing.

    (2)
  • Tanya L.

Bar hopping. Started off here. It was a nice place but a bit crowded, however, they had a live band and good music. Bartenders were quick and friendly. I think the center bar takes up too much room. If they would make the bar a bit smaller. I believe it would be spacious and it would be an awesome bar to hangout at. We ordered a few drinks and sing a few songs. Then on to the next bar...

  • Marcos R.

Not my first choice of bars to hit up on that avenue, but I finally checked it out with some friends and I have to admit, we did have an above than average time there. I've past Dicey's on many occasions. Most places on that strip are way too Coyote Ugly, including Coyote Ugly across the street. This time around Dicey's provided for just the right balance of cheersish local fun loving tavern and funcky dance USA club bar. My favorite part was the softball team that showed up to do invisible double dutch jump rope dancing. Never seen anything like it, but I loved it!

Dicey's should definitely be on your list of bar hopping in Fort Lauderdale! The bartenders are cool (and hot) and the drinks are excellent! Like most people have noted, Dicey's is always packed and it's a pretty small place to begin with. The live bands are awesome but I just wish they changed their playlist a little more often. Lastly, the big dudes at the door are chill and drama-free so just bring your I.D. and you're in (no cover)!

    (4)
  • Gina H.

Anyplace where you can cut loose and dance like nobody is watching is OK in my book. And that's all I did, dance and have a $4 Heinken. And that was cool.

I wish Yelp had negative stars, if they did I would give this place a -5 for sure. Never use any debit / credit cards here. After waiting for 20 minutes to order a drink, basically waiting for the bartender to stop dancing and playing with her breasts, she finally came over and took my credit card and my order. She brought the drinks, and didn't bring the card back. I figured she thought I wanted to leave an open tab, so I asked her to close me out. She said she didn't have my card. I had given it to her five minutes before. I told her that she never gave it back to me, and to please have a look around the bar. Immediately she began yelling at the top of her lungs and being extremely, extremely rude. My girlfriend then proceeded to try to fix the situation and she proceeded to yell at her too. This short blonde girl is one of the worst bartenders I have ever seen, and should not be working in any establishment. The manager came after everyone was yelling at each other, and luckily he knew what he was doing and was not rude at all. He apologized for the card and said he didn't know what happened, and unfortunately he couldn't find the card. This girl must have given it back to another patron mistakenly, but what really shows the lack of management and training in this place is the fact that as soon as I asked to have the card back the bartender proceeded to scream and totally flipped out. There are many other places in Las Olas, and all of them are better managed for sure. Someone out there has my card, and theirs is still at this bar.... -5 all the way.

  • Richard K.

My recommendation is to try the place on the left or right. If you want good selection of beer go to Rok: Brgr across the street. If you want cheap drinks go to Capone's for the all night 3 for 1 special. If you want a cool ambiance go to America's Backyard, where it is mostly outdoors. If you want to listen to a real band go to a show at Revolution. If you want to dance go to Living Room or Latin Fire. All these places are in the area, but ...... If you want to listen to a cover band, grab a drink, and hang with a crowd filled with mostly obnoxious drunk people then this overcrowded place might be for you

    (2)
  • Lester M.

Nothing to rave about. Just another bar in a long street full of bars. The drinks were ok, the music ok as well, nothing to differentiate from any other pub or bar I have ever been. That night the singer called in sick so no live music. The place is small and with two big bars one in the front and one right on the middle, it does not leave room for much so it gets crowed really quick. I know, its a bar but sometimes it feels like a linemen in 4th and 1 pushing for that extra yard.

    (3)
  • Patty W.

Yep, it's overcrowded and the alcohol will spill on you. It's probably from you or from someone else, but you will have a damn good time doing so. When I walked in here, I didn't expect this place to be hopping like what it was. They had a local band playing the good shit that we never hear on the radio anymore. The center bar and the side bar next to the entrance are in the right spots, but the damn crowd you have to go through to get to the bathroom is ridiculous. You tend to forget about it when you're buzzed and you're singing your heart out afterwards. Don't be surprised if you see us here again. Fun times!

    (4)
  • Cameron K.

THAT'S what I'm talking about. Two bars, one that opens out onto the street. Bartenders that are extremely competent AND hot blondes? Cheap drinks, deejay and live band? Letting kickball players take over the bar? Brilliant, absolutely love the place. It was a LITTLE bit loud in there, small place and packed with folks and the music gave me a bit of a headache but it was all good.

  • Alina Flavez D.

Once again, the DOORMAN was an asshole, this one was the worst. BAR OWNERS LISTEN.....the doorman is your first impression...dont muck it up, listen to your customers..Ordered a long island .. bartender made some weak drink with some premixed syrup in it .. there was absolutely no alcohol in it .. I asked him to make me one the real way and he didnt even know how to make a long island .. what kinda bartender is that? I refused the drink and they then forged my signature and added a 25% tip without my authorization. Stay away from this place and if you do go here dont use a credit card they will make up charges that you did not pay for. Or better yet drink someplace else that is cheaper so when you get here you dont spend any money at the bar.

  • Laura B.

not sure why i've waited this long to go to this place... WHAT A GOOD TIME! my experience started at the door.. the bouncer's were so friendly! we came in and out of that place 100 times, and each time we walked by him, he greeted us as if it were our first time coming in! the bartenders were on the ball... only a couple of girls behind the bar, and hundreds of drunk screaming people hanging over the bar waving money and credit cards at them, and somehow, it never felt like a long wait for our drinks... i LOVE live bands, and there was a good one Saturday night... apparently the lead singer was an American Idol finalist (i don't recall)... in any case, it's always fun to yell bon jovi lyrics at the top of your lungs while simultaneously dancing with your eyes closed in front of the stage! had a total crush on the security guy... shoutout to adrian! lol. good times, i WILL be back!

Cover bands and those green stained glass lamps that hang down in your face..I Love those. Like, where do you buy those? The pub store? Anyways, I love this bar. There is always a cover band playing some old and some new hits and when they take breaks, the DJ breaks out some hip hop. The bar is long and the bartenders are awesome. I saw one throw some bottles the other night. Flair? DO IT, BRO! Tanq and tonic..that's my drink-$6. Not bad. Expected. I was in one of those "put it on my tab" moods and everyone wasn't shy. We were there for about an hour with about 3 of us ordering drinks and the bill was only like $50. Not bad. We had shots too. There are chairs and barstools everywhere. I love this!! I'm short and I always wear heals and sometimes I just need to park it somewhere. I also love this place because the lighting isn't dark as hell!!! There are lights! You can see people. You can see the band. Why does drunk have to equal blind. Dim lights are for grungy bars that are too lazy to decorate. Trust me I used to work in some places that looked awesome in the darl. In the light, they looked like a haunted house. Dicey's is decorated and fun and Irish and they don't have to hide in the dark. Definetly one of my favorite bars on Las Olas.

  • Melissa S.

Always a good time at Dicey Riley's! The cover band is awesome, the drinks reasonable, and I feel like I'm back home in NJ in a good old Irish bar. Never tried the food; I'm there to drink beer, sing along, and dance on chairs (until the bouncer tells me to get down). And it's totally worth the trip.

  • Vivian L.

Strolled into Dicey's hoping to have a better time than the other bar down the street. The place was slammed, good music, bartenders were friendly & drinks were quick. Prices were good too. This is my type of place. Also the crowd was laid back with all types of people.

    (5)
  • Roger K.

I have been here a few times and have always had an OK time. There is nothing really special about this place except for the live band, which was not bad. Girls have a lot easier time getting drinks here than guys, which I guess is expected, but I just want to note it. This place gets too packed for my liking. I always have to go to some corner to avoid getting incidentally groped by hundreds of people. This is a good bar to pound a few drinks and sing a bit, but I would not stay here all night.

A Very Good Selection of Very Cold Draft Beer, Very Crowded, Very Loud - Dicey Riley on a Thursday night was full of a large crowd of Fort Lauderdale kickball/softball sports teams winding down after their nightly games.

Sure its one of the hip spots on Las Olas, but not sure they are quite ethical. I consider my self somewhat of a connoisseur of beer & ale. Ordered a Guinness Draught only to find out it tastes watered down, I drink Guinness Draught enough to know if its different, especially if I had a pint next door at the Poor House just prior. The Bar tender ignored me after i asked him about the taste of the Guinness ( didnt mention anything about it being watered down). If they have the balls to water down the Guinness, who know what else they do. ( The bars in the area are struggling for business, no surprise they are watering down drinks, but Guinness is a sin & and all time low) Update ok it may not have been watered down. Its the Beer/Nitro ratio. Consistency was like water. not what a Guinness Draught should be.

This place is always packed on the weekends. They generally always have a live band playing great music. It can get pretty packed in there so if you're claustrophobic you might run into trouble. My friends and I love coming here, and we always stop by when we're in the area for drinks. Dicey's all the way!

Always A Fun Stop On A Friday Night Bar Crawl! SITREP When enjoying a dinner out in the Himarshee Hood of Ft. Lauderdale - or even looking for some fun dance-trouble to get yerself in - Dicey Riley's is a fun place to stop in and take a load off! But mind yer manners - "this is why we can't have nice things": yelp.com/biz_photos/dice… THE SETUP The mixed drinks are hella cheap ($5 was not bad for a rum & coke at 11pm) and there was NO COVER CHARGE! [I don't know if that has something to do with the long lines like you see at the bars & clubs strewn along the beach, but there was NO pretentiousness here.] MUSIC IS KICKASS! Definitely tends towards the folksy/country side - especially when that dynamic duo is playin on the bandstand - but it still was broad enough to enjoy several different beats, and I STILL got to do a swing-dance with Alma, so the stop here was pretty sweet! THE LOWDOWN The fun kickin & hoppin stop in the Himarshee hood of Ft. Lauderdale!

Place is always cool....80% of the time I'm either tipsy or drunk by the time I get here. It's kinda narrow once you get in, so you're going to have a lot of ass and elbow rubbing (human car wash). They have live bands doing covers on the weekends, so its always cool singing to SUBLIME when you're hammered. It gets pretty loud though that you have to be kinda borderline yelling/talking loud. Every time I go to Riverfront I will always stop by Dicey Rileys. Never been during the day or when it's calm, so I can't say what specials they have offering.

Great atomosphere, cheap drinks, and no gross Miami douche heads anywhere in sight (sigh of relief.) Why can't Miami have more bars like this? Oh, I know maybe because practially everyone in Miami thinks their shit don't stink. Anyway, Diceys is an awesome small bar in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Two huge beers is about 8-10 bucks, anywhere else one beer is about 7-8 bucks. The night I went there was a cover band that was half way decent. The music was pretty good, but I must say they should play more variety. Definitely coming back here when I'm in the Ft. Lauderdale area again.

I don't come out to Ft. Lauderdale very often so I have never been to this bar. It reminds me of Mr. Moes in the Grove. It's a very laid back bar with some pretty decent music. I was hanging out here with a group of my fellow yelpers and I decided I was going to buy a round of drinks...I ordered 2 vodka tonic, 1 vodka cranberry and 4 Miller Lites and when I asked the bartender how much I owed her my jaw almost hit the floor when she said the price. It was $14!!! I'll repeat that in case you overlooked that previous sentence....it was only $14!! I was expecting to pay around $40-50 since that would be the going rate in Miami. I am now an avid lover of Broward county as a result of just one simple bar tab. Since this place isn't too far from work...I'm pretty sure I'm going to be paying the a visit again very soon.

Great bar atmosphere! Excellent drink prices. No cover no lines and an overall casual atmosphere. I only give Dicey Riley's $ stars due to music selection. I love Rock n Roll but I can only take an hour or so at a time. Would be nice if the open the fromat just a tad.

We started and ended the night here at Dicey Riley's Definitely the spot to hit up on Los Olas. At first i thought, sure lets go into your typical bar but this bar was better than all the other bars on the strip. Live music from a imo GREAT cover band striking up tones from Sublime, 311 and others. The people were friendly, talkative, and energetic unlike Capone's where many are in their sunglasses and backwards hats staring onto the dance floor as if they are searching for prey. The women were gorgeous, plentiful, and non pretentious. The music is a tad bit loud, not easy to speak to anyone in front of the stage. Drinks were reasonably prices. Drink prices were less expensive than at Capone's. They did not run out of beer unlike another place we checked out. Would I go here again? hell yes

packed packed and packed. oh and fun! pretty decent cover band last night... nothing like screaming along the lyrics to Journey with the band! Good crowd, everyone out for a good time. Felt a little like I was in Key West. If I remember correctly, we did some shots of Jameson, and If I am remembering correctly they were crazy small! Whats up with that, bartender? I like places like this where everyone is just happy, and drunk singing... who doesnt love that?

Great bands, no cover charge that I have ever seen, and cold Guinness on tap! I think you have to ask for a glass, the plastic cups don't really do Guinness justice. When the band isn't playing there is a DJ and they select some great songs. Once I was here and Dennis Rodman was onstage singing with the band Pearl Jam songs...very wild and random! Evidently Pearl Jam is his favorite band, I had no idea. I have seen no evidence that they serve food, so no comment on that....but a better choice is the pizza place a few storefronts down the block which is open late.

At a bar with a soundtrack of early Dave Matthews Band and features cover bands playing sing-along songs like Sweet Caroline, Brown Eyed Girl, and Margaritaville (hey, it's South Florida!) does it really come as any surprise that our conversation turned to the top songs/albums from high school*? That was early in the evening, so the band hadn't started yet and we could talk over a guiness. I don't think I've ever been to Los Olas without hitting Dicey Rileys, but there's not really anything special about it. Sure, it's a fun place to go, but there's nothing unique or outstanding going on here. * the top albums included Peal Jam, Ten; Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magic; The Cure, Disintigration; Led Zeppelin, take your pick; and Nirvana, Nevermind. Yay early 90s.

Wanna talk about a bar that will most likley please everyone in your group? Go here. For drinks and dancing that is, if you have to use the bathroom ( if you are a female) you are better off leaving the bar to go across the street and use another bar's potty, not kidding. They have a decent cover band that plays songs you will most definitely know all the words to. It's rowdy and super crowded so don't go there unless you can tolerate that kind of stuff, then again most of the places on Los Olas are rowdy and crowded so whatever. It's always been the bar we kick off our night at!

Not the best place and not the worst, either. If you like Magners, this is one of the few places to get it. Prices are so-so. This place is not a restaurant. It is a bar that happens to serve food. The place opens at 5 and stays open to the wee hours. After about 9 or 10, it's virtually impossible to get in because of all the pretentious people infesting the place.

Easily the best Irish pub in the downtown / Las Olas / Himmershee area. There are times on weekend nights when it can get crowded and loud, but it still manages to keep its Irish pub feel, and the bartenders know how to correctly pour a pint of Guinness.

Ordered a long island .. bartender made some weak drink with some premixed syrup in it .. there was absolutely no alcohol in it ..

Strolled into Dicey's hoping to have a better time than the other bar down the street. The place was slammed, good music, bartenders were friendly & drinks were quick. Prices were good too. This is my type of place. Also the crowd was laid back with all types of people.

THAT'S what I'm talking about. Two bars, one that opens out onto the street. Bartenders that are extremely competent AND hot blondes? Cheap drinks, deejay and live band? Yep, it's overcrowded and the alcohol will spill on you. It's probably from you or from someone else, but you will have a damn good time doing so. When I walked in here, I didn't expect this place to be hopping like what it was. They had a local band playing the good shit that we never hear on the radio anymore. The center bar and the side bar next to the entrance are in the right spots, but the damn crowd you have to go through to get to the bathroom is ridiculous. not sure why i've waited this long to go to this place...

GREAT PLACE FOR A BEER AND TO KILLS SOME TIME. I came here in the late afternoon and there is really not too much to say about itl. It's great for friends to come after work and enjoy a few beer and watch the world go by. Thank you Sir may I have another?

Lauderdale!

Dive bar, great to watch a band. Many cute girls on staff and many cute girls in the bar. I was a bit shocked. Beers are a tad above average in cost but a cool place none the less.

  • Lisa A.

Very fun on a weekend night. They always have had good bands rocking out the typical "bar music". This place usually attracts a friendly crowd who just wants to knock back a few, scream Journey at the top of their lungs and dance.

  • Sara M.

I am a fan!

    (4)
  • Edwin P.

    (4)

Anyplace where you can cut loose and dance like nobody is watching is OK in my book. And that's all I did, dance and have a $4 Heinken. And that was cool.

    (1)
  • Laura B.

not sure why i've waited this long to go to this place...

  • Danny B.

    (4)
  • Janine R.

Super cool place if u don't want to deal with the typical South Florida attitude. Drinks aren't too expensive, always play awesome/diverse music, and it feels like ur at a college town bar. Definitely my favorite bar on Las Olas!!

Great bar atmosphere! Excellent drink prices. No cover no lines and an overall casual atmosphere. I only give Dicey Riley's $ stars due to music selection. I love Rock n Roll but I can only take an hour or so at a time. Would be nice if the open the fromat just a tad.

Strolled into Dicey's hoping to have a better time than the other bar down the street. The place was slammed, good music, bartenders were friendly & drinks were quick. Prices were good too. This is my type of place. Also the crowd was laid back with all types of people.

Ordered a long island .. bartender made some weak drink with some premixed syrup in it .. there was absolutely no alcohol in it ..

Waaaay too crowded. Couldn't dance, get a drink, dirty, crazy. Will try again on a Thursday. Music sounded good though - After trying a few other places, ended up slipping into the Poor House and having a great time!
